SB321 Standards for Personal Representatives – Legislative Update

On February 27, the Maryland Senate passed SB321 by a vote of 46-0. SB321 would define the term “serious crime” for the purpose of disqualifying an individual to serve as the Personal Representative of the estate. You can read our original blog post on the bill here.

As of today, the House bill, HB656 has a hearing scheduled for March 19, 2014 at 1:00 pm. The legislative session ends on April 7th, but there is still pleny of time for this bill to pass the House.
