Melanie Marban
Associate Attorney
Melanie is an estate planning associate attorney at Sims & Campbell. Melanie graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. Degree in History and a Minor in Public Health. Melanie went on to receive her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School. While in law school, Melanie clerked for the Delaware Office of the Attorney General Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. She also participated in the Wills for Heroes Program and Alzheimer’s Association events.
Before joining Sims & Campbell, Melanie was the managing attorney at a real estate title company, handling reviews of estates, trusts, deeds, and property transfers. After the passing of her father and seeing the consequences of not having an effective estate plan, she was inspired to shift her focus. She later joined another Maryland law firm, gaining estate planning experience and presenting seminars on the importance of planning ahead.
A Pennsylvania native, Melanie moved to Maryland after law school and now lives in Riva with her husband and rescue dog. She enjoys traveling, cooking, tennis, and sponsors a U.S. Naval Academy midshipman.
